As fashion designers and bloggers trotted in to the Mercedes Benz Center for New York Fashion Week, there was one trend (or lack of) that stuck out like a sore thumb. The masses were wearing jeans but none of them were skinny! The once slender and sleek fad seemed to have run its course. Women sported bell bottoms, jeans with holes in them, high waisted, low rise, and almost every style you can imagine. In fact, rather than tucking their bottoms into their ankle boots, women actually wore them out slightly covering their shoes. Does this mean that skinny jeans have become extinct?

I have to say I’m excited about this trend. With Spring approaching we’ll have plenty of room to play around with different pants lengths and cuts. Check out how you should be wearing your pants from here on out!
Modern High Waters
I can remember going to school and being mortified when my pants hang above the ankles but now they’re trending all over the place! The beauty of rocking these for the Spring is being able to show off gladiator sandals and other staple footwear.

White Jeans
White attire is so in! No one can resist how cool white jeans look. They add roughness to preppy styles. Try rocking all white ensembles or mix it up by color blocking for a unique look.

Holes
For some reason we love wearing holes in our jeans. I swear I’m going to have to try a diy project. But Kim Kardashian West adds glam to these grungy jeans with a blush pink blazer and matching pointy heels. Take notes ladies!
How are you feeling about these new jean trends? Are mom jeans your thing?
I love skinny jeans and will always love them! I think mom jeans are great – but it’s hard to find the right pair to flatter your body type.

I agree Victoria! Skinny jeans will probably always be in my wardrobe. It’s a challenge to find mom jeans/boyfriend jeans that are truly flattering but I will invest in a pair 😉
