5 Trendy Textures to Add to Your Wardrobe

Every closet needs a makeover every once in a while. Whether you’re seeking to add a variety of tops, dresses, pants, skirts, shoes, hats, or new colors. However, sometimes more of doesn’t quite do the trick. If you really want to bring your style to new heights then try adding different textures. You can literally wear the same color but different fabrics will have you looking like a fashion guru.

Playing with different fabrics can be very exciting or surprisingly challenging. So handle your new fashion ventures with caution. But don’t be hesitant. The beauty of wearing trendy textures can be very rewarding when done right. Take a look at how to rock the latest fabrics.

Fringe

Fringe had me at hello! It has such a long history from Native American dress to flappers to the hippie movement. I love all of its influences and plan to use them for some good ol’ outfit inspiration. Fringe can be classic or modern. My personal favorite is fringe leather but it also looks great in other materials including suede. Fringe is versatile and can be worn as a jacket, skirt, swimsuit, shoes, or a purse.

Suede

Suede is the right material to wear for body suits, pants, skirts, shoes. or jackets. Wearing suede in light hues and pastel colors agrees with the Spring. If you’re as daring as Rihanna wear suede from head to toe. Or you can tread lightly and wear a suede jacket with blue jeans. This is a classic material that’s made a name for itself in the fashion world.

Chiffon

Chiffon dresses and skirts are flirty and girly. They’ll make you feel like a princess! Wear them weddings or garden parties. You can even wear them on a typical day with flats or wedges. Accessorize with a waist belt or light fedora hat. It wouldn’t be Summer without them!

 Honeycomb Lattice

Lattice is a cool take on the honeycomb pattern. People are sure to do a double take but when they stare, your delicious ensemble won’t reveal too much. Want to show off your legs? Wear a body suit paired with a lattice skirt. Looking for something more subtle? Try a lattice button up and wear a tank top underneath.

Laser cut leather

Leather cut outs are edgy, fierce, and feminine. It’s the perfect choice for going out and flaunts sex appeal in an appropriate way. Leather leggings, skirts, and shirts look the best in this pattern. I like black, maroon, and even dark purples.
